International tourism in Catalonia increases 5.2% in january

According to data by Institut Nacional d’Estadística (INE), international tourism in Catalonia increased a 5.2% in January with respect to that same month in 2018. The total number of visitors was close to 911,000. This figure represents a 21.7% of the total international tourism in Spain. The expenses made by these tourists in Catalonia reached €944m last January, a 4.5% more than the previous year.
