Tourists’ spending in Catalonia increases: 12,348 million up until July

More and more tourists are coming to Catalonia and their spending is on the rise. This data from the Catalan Government shows that, up until July, 1.3 million foreign citizens visited Catalonia, up 1.5% from last year, while their spending from January onwards totalled €12,347.9 million, some 4.9% more than the same period in 2018. Furthermore, Catalonia is the top Autonomous Community among tourists, above the Balearic and Canary Islands. In fact, Catalonia took in 23.4% of all tourism in Spain.
