UPS places in Barcelona’s free-zone its logistic centre for the south of Europe

The north American multinational packaging company UPS has chosen Barcelona’s free-zone to locate its logistics centre and serve south Europe. The new UPS centre will have 60,000sqm and will employ some 400 people. The Catalonian logistics market achieved a hiring level over 390,000sqm during the first semester of 2018, which implies an increase of 74.4% compared to the same period of 2017. This increase is greatly due to the hiring being done by the e-commerce logistics operators.
