PRESENT

The II Turespaña Convention, organized by the Spanish Tourism Institute and Turisme de Barcelona, will be held. The dates of the event will be between 3 and 5 October in the cosmopolitan capital of Catalonia.

The event cost will be around 987,965 euros, provided by the Institute of Tourism and Barcelona City Council. The first will contribute a maximum of 600,765 euros and the second will contribute the remaining amount.

The city of Barcelona has been chosen by the Institute of Tourism as the venue for the event, as it is considered to be one of the ‘most solid’ cities with the greatest projection over the coming years.

The main idea of the convention is to create a networking network among Spanish tourism destination managers, with the aim of exchanging ideas and best practices. For the first time, the second edition of the event will allow professionals from the private sector to participate.

PROGRAMME OF THE EVENT
The event can be experienced in two ways, both online and in person. The convention will be divided into three blocks. You will be able to enjoy the debate sessions, the thematic breakouts, and, finally, bilateral sessions between the Tourism Councillors and the tourist destinations.

THE FIRST EDITION OF THE CONVENTION
The first time the event was held was in 2021, and it took place in Seville. It was a difficult year, in the midst of the recovery from Covid-19. It was held under the slogan ‘The future is today: Spanish destinations calling the sustainable traveler’. The main objectives of the celebration were digitalization and sustainability in the sector.
